Rental Assistance Details

Applications are scheduled to remain open August 10th through 28th, however the application period may end prematurely due to a surplus of applications


The Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program will provide renters impacted by COVID-19 with up to  $5,000 for back rent and/or future rent in 2020. This is a LOTTERY system. Just because you qualify and complete an application does NOT guarantee you a payment. To learn more, visit

What You Will Need

  • Check your eligibility: See if you qualify for the Rental Assistance Program at  

  • Complete the two-part application: Your landlord will need to complete part of the application.

    • PART ONE: The tenant section which you will complete.​

    • PART TWO: The owner section which your landlord will complete,

  • Gather the necessary documents: You will need specific documents to complete the application including a valid id and proof of residence. Please see question 3 on the FAQs for a complete list of necessary documentation


  • Your household income before March 1, 2020 was less than the maximum allowed for your area. Find “Income Lookup” button below.

  • You or an adult member of your household has had a loss of income due to COVID-19

  • You have an unpaid rent balance that began sometime after March 1, 2020​
