Housing Information & Resources:
HOW takes all referrals for our supportive and affordable housing programs from Chicago’s Coordinated Entry System (CES) and additional partners. We do not maintain a separate wait list for these programs and do not accept direct referrals.
If you or someone you know is seeking temporary or permanent supportive housing, the person seeking housing must visit a Housing Access Point to be assessed for the CES. Contact ces@chicagococ.org with questions.

Emergency Shelter:
If you or someone you know are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911.
If you or someone you know needs a place to stay, dial 311 or visit a Community Service Center. For Metro Chicago, call 211. They will connect you with help for rental assistance, homelessness prevention, and/or overnight shelters.
HOW does not operate an emergency shelter program. Questions? Please contact Housing Opportunities for Women at (773) 465-5770.
