HOW We Make a Difference: Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness and Poverty
Luncheon Panel and Discussion

Please join Housing Opportunities for Women (HOW) for our luncheon and a compelling discussion, HOW We Make a Difference: Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness and Poverty. This powerful discussion will be moderated by Sasha Ann Simons, Host, Reset, Chicago Public Media and Founder of Simons Says Productions, and feature:

Dr. Omar Lateef, President and CEO, Rush University System for Health

Sendy L. Soto, Chief Homelessness Officer, Office of Mayor Brandon Johnson

Ed Stellon, Chief External Affairs Officer, Illinois Public Health Institute

Our esteemed panelists will address key topics, which will include:

  • Educating and empowering attendees on how to support our fragile safety net

  • Understanding the “death gap” for those who are unhoused

  • Increasing health parity

  • Discussing how our systems can and do work together to address the unhoused crisis in Chicago

  • Recognizing how you can make a difference

In a time of great uncertainty and continuing need, we hope you will consider joining HOW’s community of supporters who enable the agency to deliver safe, high-quality housing and services to individuals and families so they can stabilize, rebuild and thrive.
