Thank you for making this year’s gala dinner and auction, HOW Very Inspired, truly an inspired success. We are thrilled to announce that the event raised nearly $180,000. Your participation enabled over 40 percent of this total to be donated in one night, the most in HOW Very history!
This year’s live action included sixteen unforgettable items and the effervescent presence of our emcee Valerie Warner. What rounded out this all star line up was Tom Ricketts, Chairman of the Chicago Cubs, as he shared the value in providing second chances. His ongoing support and generosity along with Laura Ricketts and Todd Ricketts, HOW Very Inspired Honorary Chairs, has enabled HOW to effectively carry out our life-saving mission!
HOW was also delighted to share the evening with Elnora Glass, currently in our Supportive Housing Program, and her family. Her story of personal strength inspires staff, board, and volunteers alike to continue working towards our goal of helping women achieve self-sufficiency, stability and economic independence.
